Mrs. Newman Dies at 89
Sandra Lee Newman, 89, died on Friday December 13. She and her late husband, George Newman, raised their family in Livingston.
Mrs. Newman is survived by her two children:Amy (William) Lipsey and Richard (Ronnit) Newman; six grandchildren; and four greatgranddaughters.
The family received guests for Mrs. Newman on Monday, December 16, at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, followed by a funeral service. Burial followed in Woodbridge’s Beth Israel Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Newman’s memory be made to Jewish Federation of MetroWest or NCJW or Temple B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills.
Roosevelt Elementary School, now a shopping and office center, was built in 1927.
