Barbara would do anything to help her clients, friends, acquaintances, strangers, and animals. She had a stack of thank you notes from clients who appreciated her going above and beyond to assist them, as she prided herself in offering the ultimate in service.

Once her grandsons were born, she discovered a whole new world of joy. Danny, Ben, and Brayden brought her much pleasure.

Barbara was born in the fabled Weequahic section of Newark in 1937, graduating high school in 1956. She worked as a secretary at Pavey Envelope and was promoted to office manager. Barbara met her husband, Jerry, on a blind date, settling in Irvington before moving to Livingston in 1961. They were married for 61 years.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Elise) and Stu (Nancy); her three grandsons, Danny, Ben, and Brayden; her sister, Myrna; and nieces.

A funeral service for Barbara will be held on Friday, January 17, at 11 a.m. at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. Burial will be private for immediate family.
