Linda P. Leck
Linda P. Leck

Linda was a member of the Livingston Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, a Den Mother to her sons, and a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for her daughter. She was deeply rooted in her faith and was a deacon for many years with the Presbyterian Church of Livingston.
Linda worked for Bell Atlantic as an operator, before taking time off from working to raise her four children. She became a certified drug and alcohol counselor and worked at Fair Oaks Hospital, in Summit, New Jersey. Linda eventually branched out on her own, starting her own practice. She then joined with Parents Support Group of New Jersey, and was an integral part of the organization.
Linda was known for her kind words, selflessness, generosity and giving nature. Her smile would light up any room. She made every holiday and birthday so special and memorable. Linda loved reading, crafting, cooking and baking. But the things she loved most were camping and traveling. Every summer was spent camping up and down the East Coast, with her husband, kids, and a group of other camping families who became lifelong friends. She eventually made Cape May her second home, and would spend years going down on the weekends and all throughout the year, with her husband, kids and grandkids. Many summers were spent sitting on the beach in Cape May Point, and enjoying everything that Cape May has to offer.
Linda was predeceased by Franklin, her childhood sweetheart and loving husband of 59 years. She raised four children: Kenneth (Cherie), Donald (Christine), Rodger (Denise) and Melinda. She has eight grandchildren: Sydney, Jeremy, Timothy, Anthony, Julie, Tyler, Charlotte, and Ashley. She has one great-grandson, Logan. Linda is survived by her brother, Lee; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as numerous loving friends.
