Mrs. Rosenbaum Dies at Age 96

Marilyn Rosenbaum (née Denburg), 96, of Livingston, died on March 20.

She was past president of the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Women’s Organization; past president of the New Jersey Region of American Jewish Congress; first woman elected president of Temple B’naiAbraham; past president of the Temple B’nai Abraham Sisterhood; past member of the Temple B’nai Abraham Social Action Committee; board member at Temple B’nai Abraham; former board member of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Health Care Foundation; past vice chairperson and founding member of the Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University; and a former board member of Newark Emergency for Families Services.

Mrs. Rosenbaum was the wife of the late Leon Rosenbaum for 62 years; mother of Linda Wasserman and Fran Rosenbaum; and grandmother of three. Donations in Mrs. Rosenbaum’s memory may be made to Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies at Seton Hall University or to the Evi and Albert Meinhardt Fund for Learning at Temple B’nai Abraham.
