LHS Girls' Volleyball Team Event Supports Breast Cancer Awareness

When it comes to high school girls' volleyball, the Mount Saint Dominic Lions and the Livingston Lancers are fierce competitors on the court. Off the court, however, they are teaming up to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization and breast cancer awareness with their Pink Event. The fund-raiser will held on Saturday, October 11, in the Livingston High School gym. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure in North New Jersey Foundation.

LHS Tennis Team Splits Week's Matches

The Lady Lancer tennis team won two and lost two matches in county and regular season play this week. Livingston defeated Cedar Grove in the Essex County Tournament before losing to Glen Ridge in the county quarterfinals. The team defeated Caldwell in a Super Essex Conference match before losing to Mt. St. Dominic in a regular season match. Livingston has a 3-8 win-loss record, 1-3 in the conference.

Lancer Football Team Crushes Kearny Cardinals

The Livingston Lancers varsity football team overwhelmed the Kearny Cardinals, 47-0, for their second win of the season. Playing at home on Friday, September 19, head coach Barry Kostibos characterized the shut-out as a “great win where we responded well in all three phases of the game coming off a hard fought victory against Millburn.”

Girls' Cross Country Team Opens Season At Inter-Conference Meet in Branch Brook Park

On a cool, overcast Tuesday, September 9, members of Livingston High School's girls' cross country team stepped up to the starting line of their first competition of the season. It was the opening week of theSuper Essex Conference (SEC) dual  meet season. Four straight weeks of inter-conference meets will be held at Branch Brook Park in Newark on the newly resurfaced course. Sunday Dodgers to Face Staten Island For League Championship

The Livingston Dodgers of the U.S. Over Thirty (USOT) Baseball League, Sunday division, will face the Staten Island Bombers for the northern division championship. The winner of the play-off series will face the southern champions for the state title. The Dodgers won the regular season title with a 14-4 record. In play-off action, they split the first two games of the series.

LHS Soccer Team Wins First Two Games

The Livingston Lancers boys' varsity soccer team has gotten off to a 2-0 start with victories over Newark East Side and MKA. On opening day, the Lancers were host to Newark East Side and took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half. Senior Alex Sugarman sent a through ball past two defenders and, as the East Side goalie came off his line, junior Cole Charney raced onto the pass and caused the ball to change directions by tipping it past the charging goalie.

Volleyball Team Wins Home Opener

The Livingston High School girls' volleyball team began the 2014 season with wins over their first two opponents for an early 2-0 record. The Lancers won their first match of the season, by scores of 25-10, 25-18, against West Essex on Friday.
