Marvin Pinkowitz, 87, died on April 20, after a long illness. He was born and raised in Newark and then moved to Livingston. He worked the New England area for a children’s clothing company before retiring to Florida.

Sanskriti of NJ Begins Cricket Season
Sanskriti of NJ had its 2024 cricket season kick-off for Cricket on Sunday April 21, at the Sanskriti Cricket Field in Livingston. Mayor Al Anthony; Deputy Mayor Ed Meinhardt; Township Council members Shawn Klein, Ketan Bhuptani, and Michael Vieira; Board of Education members president Pam Chirls, Parul Khemka, and Fang Gong; and Livingston Police Chief Gary Marshuetz attended the event.

Livingston Zoning Board Approves Five Variances
The Livingston Zoning Board, at its April 25 meeting, revisited Rodney Brown’s application for a five foot chain link fence at 201 North Livingston Avenue, approving the request. The Board then heard four more cases across the night, ultimately approving all four of them.

Fishbein Named Interim Superintendent
Livingston Public Schools has announced that Daniel Fishbein has been selected to serve as interim superintendent for the district for the 2024-25 school year. He is the retired superintendent of Ridgewood Public Schools.
