Michael's Musings
With apologies to “Miss Rachel” and “Paw Patrol,” two of the few children’s shows I find somewhat tolerable, as well as “Sesame Street,” which my kids sadly don’t really care for, there is one program my three-year-old boys watch that stands head and shoulders above the rest. Harrison Students Are Awarded for Lunch Initiative
Students at Harrison School were honored on Wednesday, February 7, for raising the most funds of the dozens of participating schools in Table to Table's 2023 "Bag a Lunch, Help a Bunch" initiative. "The power harnessed by these Harrison elementary students to be true community heroes – reduc- ing food waste, while also feeding thousands of New Jersey neighbors facing food insecurity – is nothing short of incredible," said Heather Thompson, executive director of Table to Table. "With this impressive level of community leadership, the future is truly bright." Harrison's euorts garnered suf - .cient funds to rescue and deliver enough food for 14,600 healthy meals for those in need throughout Northern New Jersey. That amount, along with funds raised by the other schools, was doubled by the Bernard and Geraldine Segal Foundation.
