Charles Francis Harrop, 69, of West Caldwell, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, after having never fully “recovered” from surgery on March 14.

Livingston’s Board of Education approved the 2023-24 school district budget during its Tuesday, April 25, meeting.

During the Monday, April 24, Township Council meeting the municipal budget was introduced. Additionally, a public hearing was held about the Business Improvement District’s budget, and one ordinance and several resolutions were passed.

Livingston Public Schools (LPS) announced that Thomas Lambe has been selected as the next school business administrator and board secretary for the district. Lambe’s employment will begin on July 1.

Now that spring has finally sprung, it is time for many residents to address what has become a growing issue in town over the past few years – sidewalks.

Last Saturday, April 22, was Earth Day, so let us take a moment to reflect on the gains we have made over the last fiveplus decades since that holiday began. We have done much as a society to accelerate environmental progress, yet there is still so much left to accomplish.

Livingston’s boys’ varsity tennis team defeated Caldwell, 5-0, in a regular season match on Tuesday, April 11. This was the varsity debut of Dylan Tovitz, Nick Alvais, Alan Hu, and Eshan Shah, who won the doubles in straight sets.

Who tells the pigeon that he can’t drive the bus? None other than Meg Foley, a 2013 graduate of Livingston High School, who will play the bus driver in the Growing Stage’s production of “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus: The Musical.”
