Coben Talks Filming “Shelter ” In His Hometown of Livingston

As “Harlan Coben’s Shelter,” which was released this past August on Amazon Prime Video, wraps up its first season run, the prolific author andNew Jersey Hall of Famer talked to the Tribune about the series, which was partially filmed in Livingston. Coben had been unable to promote the show as it was airing due to the Writers Guild of America strike, which occurred during the length of the season. The season one finale came out in late September and all eight episodes of the series are now available to stream.

A SHOW OF SOLIDARITY: A crowd of roughly 2,200 people attended an event at Temple B'nai Jeshurun on South OrangeAvenue Sunday night, October 8, following an attack on Israel two nights prior. The gathering was a show of solidarity with Israel, sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ. The event was attended by political leaders and approximately 30 rabbis and 20 cantors from synagogues in Essex, Morris, Union, Sussex, and part of Middlesex counties, all of whom are part of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ. Planning Board Approves Sycamore Ave. Subdivision

The Livingston Planning Board, at its Tuesday, October 3 meeting, voted to approve Steven Barckley’s request to subdivide 33 Sycamore Avenue into two parcels measuring into 9,158 and 9,000 square feet. Despite closing evidentiary records from the original July 18 hearing, the Board decided on August 3 to reopen a public hearing so Barckley could cross-examine new residential testimonies and statements with his lawyer present.

The debate featued two candidates – Fang Gong, and Harsh Raju – who are currently competing for a seat on the Livingston Board of Education. The seat is currently held by Board president, Vineeta Khanna, who is not seeking re-election.

Turtle Back Exhibit Is Dedicated To Commissioner Pat Sebold

The Island Giants Exhibit at Essex County Turtle Back Zoo opened on Wednesday, September 20. The new exhibit space includes natural habitatthemed spaces for the alligators and Komodo Dragons. In addition, it was dedicated in honor of Essex County Commissioner and Livingston resident Patricia Sebold, who has served on the Board of Commissioners for over 30 years and has been a member of the Essex County Recreation and Open Space Trust Fund since it formed in 1998.
