Softball Player Nankivell Gets 100th Hit; Mount Pitches a Five Inning No-Hitter

The Livingston Lancer softball team celebrated several accomplishments in recent weeks. The team played three games, including two against SEC American division opponents. The Lancers defeated Hanover Park, 14-0, on Wednesday; Columbia, 5-2 on Thursday; and lost to Mt. St. Dominic, 4-3, on Monday.

The chess team at Livingston High School recently finished in first place for the second consecutive year in the New Jersey High School Chess Championship. Representatives from the team travelled to Baltimore, Maryland for the national High School Chess Championship.

Mr. Pietrobon Dies at 91
Mr. Pietrobon Dies at 91

Alberto Pietrobon, 91, died on Wednesday, March 27, in Livingston. Born in Riese Pio X Treviso, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1956. He moved to West Orange in 1961. In 1963, Mr. Pietrobon opened his business, JoPell Home Improvements, where he worked until his retirement.
