CRUNCH CRASH: At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, Livingston Police officers responded to Crunch Fitness, 585 West Mt. Pleasant Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle into a building. Officers arrived to find a 2013 black Acura RDX had driven into the building. The operator of the vehicle, Fenita Remigio, 83, of Essex Fells, stated that she hit the brake but the vehicle would not stop. Remigio suffered a foot injury and was taken to Mountainside Hospital. One person who was inside the business when the accident occurred had a complaint of dizziness and being lightheaded, and was transported to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. A further investigation determined that Remigio may have mistaken the gas pedal for the brake pedal. C JM Photos
