Livingston Police officers responded to several calls in the past week, including a residential burglary, a burglary to a vehicle, and shoplifting.

At its meeting on Monday, March 11, the Livingston Township Council introduced two housing ordinances, and passed and tabled separate ordinances related to structures on privately owned property.

During the past week, Livingston Police officers responded to multiple reports of vehicles that had been burglarized.

On Sunday, March 10, clocks “spring forward” to start Daylight Savings time. This change should also prompt the change of batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, and the inspection of fire extinguishers.

The Livingston Zoning Board, at its Tuesday, February 27, meeting, reheard cases for Gary and Darice Tufaro at 89 East McClellan Avenue, Abhishek Gangwal at 6 Hazelwood Avenue, and Ajith Kumar Bodepudi at 17 Maplewood Drive. Ultimately, the Board approved the Tufaros’ and Bodepudi’sproposals alongwithone other application, while delaying votes on Gangwal’s case andanother case to March 26.

At the end of the Monday, February 26, Township Council meeting, members discussed A-4, a state Assembly bill that recently passed and will affect the town’s fiiture affordable housing plans.
