The Livingston Police Department is investigating several burglaries that occurred last week to unlocked vehicles.
Planning Board members delayed a newly introduced application and approved another after its continued hearing during its Tuesday, July 18, special meeting.
Livingston’s Planning Board met for a special meeting on Tuesday, July 18, where it first discussed the South Livingston Avenue Redevelopment Plan in a conference session. The plan was referred to the Board by the Town Council.
PURSUIT ENDS IN CRASH
Livingston’s Fire Department responded to several calls last week, including a two-motor vehicle accident on Thursday, July 13. Smoke came from the vehicles at Livingston Circle, but there was no report of a fire. The two cars were towed from the scene.
A township traffic light that had been adjusted to address safety concerns has been changed back, pending a study of the area, following delays at the intersection.

Judith Friedman has retired after serving as president of the League of Women Voters for 20 years, and will remain involved as the organization’s voter services chairwoman. She has been an active League member for over 50 years.
Livingston resident Fang Gong has announced her candidacy for the Livingston Public Schools Board of Education. There will be one open seat on the Board up for election this November. Board president Vineeta Khanna’s term will conclude at the end of the year, and she is not seeking reelection.
During its Monday, July 10, meeting, the Livingston Township Council passed several resolutions and introduced an ordinance that would repeal the recent introduction of a redevelopment plan for Northfield Road.
