The Four Chaplains Service, which honors four heroic chaplains and World War II veterans, was held at the Livingston Senior/Community Center on Sunday, February 5, at 2 p.m.

At its Tuesday, February 7 meeting, the Livingston Planning Board gave preliminary approval to amendments to a previously approved project by Om Divya Realty for the parcel at 212,214, and 222 North Livingston Avenue, which includes Livingston Mart, LTown Liquors, andtheAssado Portuguese Steakhouse restaurant. The formal vote, however, will be held sometime at the end of March.

The Livingston school district’s assistant superintendent for equity, Lisa Steiger, presented campus data points to the Board of Education on Tuesday, February 7. The research is derived from Livingston Public School (LPS) students and parents, and focuses on equity, inclusion and anti-racism.

Residents in Livingston and across Essex County gathered at the Oval’s gazebo on Sunday, February 5, in a rally, “Strength and Courage Against Anti-Semitism.” The event came just one week after an attempted firebombing of Bloomfield’s Temple Ner Tamid.

The man who is charged with stealing a Livingston Public School bus was charged on Monday and new details about the case were revealed in the court filings released by the Department of Justice.

An unspecified incident at Livingston High School resulted in a 50-minute shelter-in-place order for a student emergency at 8:16 a.m. on Thursday morning, January 26, according to district officials.

A windstorm on Wednesday evening, January 25, brought down primary electrical wires at St. Philomena Catholic Church. Firefighters reported and found the wires down and burning. They secured the area until Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) personnel could make repairs.
